Theft in Deptford

I wanted to provide you an update regarding Personal theft (e.g. pick pocketing, no violence used), which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

The days are getting darker earlier and thefts are on the rise. When walking out and about, please be vigilant! Don't walk down the road with your phone held out, as it is such an easy target for one of London's most thriving crimes right now.
Keep your other valuables hidden, stick to well lit, populated areas, and if you have to travel alone in dark alleys, consider alternatives.

If you find yourself in trouble, shout for help. The last thing these criminals want is attention.
